Because the Hibachi grill doesn't have a top casting to close, there isn't a way to cut off the airflow to extinguish the fire. For safety, do not use the cutting board lid until the ash is completely cold.
When I am done grilling how do I stop airflow to put out the fire and save the charcoal for another day with the Hibachi Grill? PKGO Hibachi
